Well, been messing with the CS1x today, and im not impressed at all. A few ok sounds, but mostly crap. Gonna have to get stuck in and patch it myself :(

If you have the manual, you can really get stuck into layering those waveforms. Visit the Yamaha Synth page here for some CS1x downloads, especially the Blue Book and the free sounds that come with it. These might be more up your street. They come in the form of sysex MIDI files that you can load into the CS1x. There are 256 new sounds there to play with
