Here's an upcoming plugin I'm working on:

It's a low (latency/quality/CPU) MIDI polyphonic pitch-shifter

and my test mp3 (I always get distracted into making tunes while testing stuff, no wonder Lucifer VST took me a year)

http://www.devine-machine.com/steve/Bit ... t_GURU.mp3

guitar = sample -> Cheapshift! (unprocessed at very start before the beat)
bass = Minimonsta -> EQ
rhythm = Fxpansion GURU
lead = FL 3xOSC -> Camel Audio CamelSpace
strings = mellotron soundfont -> EQ

If I want bad quality pitch shifting I have plenty of options built-in Tracktion already.

Don't listen to these fools, low quality pitchshifters are the best kind. Is it delay-based? Sounds cool on the demo tune.

thanks ttoz! yes it uses a very strange algorithm with 8 delay buffers that cycle in rather perplexing ways.

its called cheapshift for a reason - and was named such before I started, not after.

I wanted something that sounded something like my old Boss SE-50, but could be played from MIDI.

I wasn't, and am not interested in diving in to FFT or following any traditional roads. I'll let the math geniuses make the high-quality ones... just VST and C++ is enough for me.

I was going to release it free, but I think I'll keep it for Lucifer customers, as I like to reward people who support our work, not to mention I've gotten about 2 thanks from the 5000 downloads of minion...

be nice to dev's :)
