I hear some people saying I must use the Midi Out plugin when I use a vst instrument, but I still wonder whether I should use it or not, and why should I bother when my vst instruments are receiving the key board notes from my GEM correctly. I'm affraid I'm missing something here
Thanks for your help!

Some VSTi's have multiple instruments in them, like Edirols SuperQuartet. This allows you select the different instruments, otherwise you would just play the first one in the vsti. I don't use MIDI out that much. Not too sure what else you would use it for, but i'm a newbie to it too.

correct, I use B4 which has three midi inputs for it, with a sampler you could need more....
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
