I was playing with SS2's "The One" piano patch...actually, I was using it in ST2 (great to have all the sounds and samples under one module)...anyway....

Has anyone else noticed a slight "clicking" sound when playing the "D4" note? I think the "C4#" asl well...none of the other notes has that "clicking" sound...very hard to pick up...you need to really listen to it in order to find it....

If that's the case, how hard is it to replace that one sample? With a patch or something like that?

Now that I've discovered it...it bugs the heck out of me...and now I'm very couscious when I'm playing "The One"...especially when it's in the key of D....

Anyone willing to give it a try and see if you're able to spot it? And let me know if it's just me or across all users.... :)

Thanks,
Zai

Well...I just went back and try it again...not so much a "clicking" noise, more of a "hissing"...sounded like something is lose or something...hard to describe... :) And it looks to be the sample at the higher velocity that's doing it...

Hi Zai. I tried the notes you asked us to on The One here, and I'm not getting a click here. I've tried it at many different velocities, and they are all clear here.

no click or hiss here either. had a great time playing it though. if there is a click you must have really sharp hearing.

A thought came to me...would this be due to my headphone has something lose...or the sound trigger the lose part inside? I'll check it with another headphone. :)

yeah sometimes i get buzzing or weird artifacts out of my speakers just by having a piece of paper or plastic wrapping near them and only certain frequencies rattle the objects. so definitely try some different headphones i'm curious to find out if this was the problem.

I'm curious, too. Do you get the same buzz with other sounds around that frequency??
