Im looking for an app for XP that will let me organize my sample collection by previewing files, creating new folders, drag n drop etc.
any suggestions?

You could try Loop Horse or foobar2000. Not every feature, but it'll keep you occupied until you get distracted by the need for a VST disk librarian.

loophorse doesnt play well on my comp. It takes about minute to start up, makes my fan kick in immediately, no audio output, and randomly crashes...lol

Sorry, soulkraka, that loophorse was a mule on your machine. Works fine for me, but I've always had a way with horses. 
Until samplemanager is released you could look into one of those memory improvement courses! You know, the one's that advertise: Memormize the file names of over 100 gigabytes of 909 kik samples!

Hey soulkraka, I'm sorry you couldn't get Loophorse to run on your machine. Can you give me your PC specs? Is your version of Mediaplayer up to date?

Try fastwave - it's fab. Good browser and midi/audio previews, dragnDrop, etc.

This is good for sorting samples too, atm you cannot purchase it - you need to keep an eye on the site for when it next gets an update, demo is there though
