hey,

some clients i know can't keep with the metronome beat simply by hearing, so i move my hand every beat so they dont go off timing... sheesh. anyone know of a visual light or something that turns on and off in synch with host? i could pop it on my other computer monitor for the client :)

let me know if, thanks!

Talk to xoxos, ask him if he still has "blinker" that he made for SaviorNeeded. If he doesn't have it, ask him if it's OK if I can pm it to you.

... anyone?

ehhh, no. Best I could suggest is that if you have really low latency, take channel, put a short hat sample in it, trigger it on the beat, route it to an insert VU meter that is large enough to see, crank it up so that t he sample pegs red and mute the channel/reduce the volume after the meter. This way when they "see red" they can keep time?

All light systes (for stage shows) work on MIDI ; surely there will be a MIDI triggered light available somewhere in a decent music equipment store?

well, it's a little elaborate.....
but you could use a second, cheap monitor (allowing you to position the VU wherever you wanted!), put the VU on that part of the screen and use one of those magnifying ultilities so that it took up the whole screen!! :lol:

I know, too Goldbergian, but I thought I'd try. :) xoxos commented that the latency made this project difficult, and I am interested to see if anyone knows of one as well
:) in short, this is just a bump.

Shouldn't be that difficult to whip this up in SynthMaker. Sadly my SM activities have slowed down to a crawl recently, and the last time I tried, the component for receiving timing information didn't work properly (and no-one commented about it from Jorgen who said it might as well not work as he himself hadn't tried it).

If you'd use Logic... I'd send you an environment with a HUGE blinking metronome. Without any CPU expense of course.

saviourneeded to remember the name :p

could always set your latency to 1/4 note :)
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

uhh its not blinking proper in t2. maybe i should just ask t2's dev to implement one :D
