Here's 2 patch names of the 23 violins section from Philharmonik. I wonder what the abbreviations +V, LP and Sec may stand for?
23 Violins No Vib +V LP
23 Violins Detache 2 Sec

I think Squids mentioned that LP stands for Looped.

Sec = second as in 2 second detache.
I assume the Non V +V LP is some sort of non vibrato to vibrato fade in looped patch.
Patch naming is kind of hit and miss. Everyone uses different tags to describe the uses of the patch.

Not just any teacher though - it'd sound like a horrible mutant alien teacher with 23 fingers on her hand!
Actually... maybe that would sound smooth, like when grain clouds become really dense (granular synthesis) they have a tendency to become very smooth, regardless of the source sound.
My spine is tingling from just the thought of it though...

It would be helpful if the abbreviations in the patch names were explained in the manual.Squids wrote:Yep!Joseph Burrell wrote:Sec = second as in 2 second detache.

In fact a great plugin instrument of this sort for orchestral music needs a great manual!

I did this suggestions already in another thread and Squids acknowledged that he received the "feature request".nexussynth wrote: It would be helpful if the abbreviations in the patch names were explained in the manual.

Hypersonic has a great solution for patch description, which is integrated in the GUI. Once you load the patch you'll have a text displayed in a description field - which is a brilliant idea, because there one can also describe the specific programming/function of the patch, like "use modwheel for volume swell". Very handy.
