Andy weatherall could of been making trance today with your oakenfolds/digweeds and sasha's but he chose his love of music over money.

HI
Looking at your post count, and your age - go get a life, spending that much time on a computer, on the internet, on a forum
.
I didn't start using the internet until about 2 years ago and I am in my forties with a lot of spare time.
I would say leave the internet alone and go enjoy being a youngster - you can't ever get back 'these' years.
Flipper.

HI
I didn't intend to distress the young man - shit, I know people his age and a bit older in the D&B scene (my son is into it you see!) that live COMPUTER - but that wasn't his point anyway - blimey when I was growing up I had several 'groups' of friends that were into different types of music (and I know it becomes a lifestyle - the music you are into and how that impacts on you in general) which was like, Reggae, Rock, Soul ... I just hung out with them all - you don't have to loose YOUR identity - what you like and want to do just because it doesn't fall nicely into what your friends are into!

Hi Flipper, like you I didn't get into to the net until I was in my 40's either...but I do have one question for you....would you want those years back? I know I wouldn't want to go back to anything pre 30....but especially the years between 15 and 25.original flipper wrote:HI

I'm not saying those were bad years, in fact quite the opposite, but they were years of growth and learning, and unfortunately at that age we tend to learn our lessons the hard way. Surely now that I have learned those lessons I have no desire to relive those mistakes.
Chase is 17
Sorry, didn't mean to go off on a tangent there, my point is I really like Chase, but I wouldn't trade ages with him, for me my best years have been since I turned 40, so I look forward and see a bright future, I look back and dont exactly see a bright past...not a totally dark one either, but surely the future is brighter then the past...
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

amen to that. I remember years ago my brother was bang into his metal, grew his hair long and wouldn't be seen dead with anyone other than other metallers and would never listen to anything but. I could never understand that, why tie yourself to one strand of music so and why do you have to have a uniform to give you an identity? I love music and listen to many different styles, and I dress like a bag of shit. Good.original flipper wrote:I had several 'groups' of friends that were into different types of music (and I know it becomes a lifestyle - the music you are into and how that impacts on you in general) which was like, Reggae, Rock, Soul ...
