Hope you're doing well with soup! If i ever get the frigging time, lol, i'll update my 200 factory presets to make use of the newer 1.5 features. ; )

peace!
Yeah that'd be cool! As if you don't have enough work to do already! lol
Although at the moment I'm sketching out some ideas for a drum synth I'm thinking of making, so maybe you'd like to be involved when it comes to preset time!

if you put it in your master out, you can see how your track will look in an audio editor. (at least you can do that with the smartelectronix one)

if you're working with EQs, use voxengo SPAN for analyzing. if you're working with dynamics/transients, use an oscilloscope. (at least with the smartelectronix one)

and you can see the waveform your synth produces, or if your sine wave is really siney etc.

you see, there are millions of uses for an oscilloscope. :)

awesome! i will install when i get home! thank you so much.

Therefore an oscilloscope is Cubase standard since the very first VST version.

ps i seriously think its brilliant way to promote your synth! neat idea! :D

Sound design for me. Coincidentally, I've just been studying muted trumpet waveforms and now have a good idea what they look like, but I don't know what the synth looks like when playing around so I don't know if I'm getting closer or not (other than by ear, but one cannot have too much help eh)

And thanks Alex, I'm downloading it now. :)

f**k!!! Hit me up when you're ready!

peace!
Will do buddy, would be cool to do some more work with you! I'm just finishing work on a little plug, then I'll start work on this project! :-)

nice one alex. rpc9943 sometimes its useful to see the wave shape when evaluating things like oscillators, distortion, compression, whatever

SPAN has many more uses because it is a frequency analyzer

oops. sorry guys...looks like a mod has censored my language. I'm not being a smart-ass...genuinely apologizing for my improper language...I'll try to keep a lid on it.

Alex: great man! just let me know whenever you're ready.

peace!

Hey This thing is cool. Thanks for giving it away. I never understand why a few people always think there is a catch, or insist you explain why it's worthwhile. It is free, and besides an essential part of learning is taking a risk. It's not like you are offering a free "system crasher" LOL :)

Post

No my "system crasher" plug hasn't been released yet, there's still a problem with a lack of bugs which cause it to not crash.
I'll let you know when its ready though! lol :-)

Alex - is your oscilloscope still available? I had trouble getting it downloaded - only about 69KB worth of data comes in and I can't unzip it.

I would like to use it to "...see the wave shape when evaluating things like oscillators, distortion, compression, whatever..." like dharmawan mentioned earlier! Thanks! I can use the one from Smartelectronix in the meantime - but yours has stereo view which I thought would be nice...

Post

Hi Kylen. Yes the plug is still available, I tried downloading it from the site and it worked fine for me, so may be worth giving it another go in case my webspace had a glitch.

If you still can't get it to work then send me a PM with your email address and I'll email it to you directly.

Alex
