He gave it his all, didn't he?
I love the way he changed his comb-over for the harmony parts!
Thanks for that! Now I'm all happy-like with that tune stuck in my head!

No video in Winamp (Even updated winamp),
won't play at all in Windows Media Player.
What's up with this file?

Is he bouncing, or is he destructively overdubbing?
That sort of thing took balls.
And the picture-in-picture film effect must have taken some doing too.

He's non-destructively overdubbing. IIRC, those old deck's SOS feature had a delay on the playback to compensate the distance between the record head and the playback head. This allowed you to stay in sync with the previously recorded track. When you enabled SOS, it enabled the delay and disabled the erase head. I'm not sure if the machine he's using worked that way, but that's the way I did it...WAY back when!james0tucson wrote:Is he bouncing, or is he destructively overdubbing?

The hiss becomes amazing after four tracks!
What's really sad (and glad!) to me is I remember Christmas looking just like that!

Kinda Deja Vu for me
My first "studio" was a 4 track reel to reel.
Ahh how times have changed..... and for the better in this case.

That's odd, .mp4 has been supported since version 5, I think. Other players should be able to play it, too- I tried this when I went for .mp4 for my own videos. There were some exceptions, but I don't remember which ones.Barf wrote:I'm not even able to watch it with quicktime, quicktime alternative also doesnt play it, downloading latest quicktime now but it comes with I-tunes....![]()

There's no reason for an anti-quicktime lobby, it's a fine player. Just like .mp4 is a great format. Can we get some anti-realplayer/quicktime lobby going? Why do these 'formats' exist??????????????????
