I think it will stay my outro piece, at least twenty minutes. I use it as the intro too but only for about two minutes.

I will check all links later. Using dreamweaver I can store urls ,so once a contributer is entered, it's just a matter of drag n drop each time he/she is referred to. Just found this out today, when I sat there going "I wonder if.....

When I got my first Cd player (around 1990), NIN's Pretty Hate Machine was my first CD purchase. When the old CD player skipped for the first time I let it run for about 10 minutes without realizing it was stuck.

I ripped the first Velvet Revolver album for my wife so she could return it to the library. I didn't know it had that skippy copy protection mechanism on it.

The result was so awsome, I loved it! I thought it was a cool album... until I realised it wasn't *supposed* to sound like that.

That inspired me to code the software to write my KVR Winter Competition entry.

That is, if what I've written is something you're still interested in.

To everybody else... if you've read the earlier thread about this radio station... there's the possibility for a streaming server on a fat connection and it's still available, if needed

Plus loads more to ease the burden Techbot has right now with fetching the material etc.

What happened to the JMH radio? I would also suggest auto bots hitting servers for content will just get the server blocked by many hosts I would think

fetching bots are crap listeners too, they tend not to know the artists work, how it sounds in a listing next to other tracks, plus a bot suggests that the main target and objective is quantity over anything else, rather than build something up to be worthwhile and different.

The way Rob is going about it is the right way imo, getting to know the work being played, in a sensible amount of playtime - checking out the way things work etc.

Yeah, no bots... just old fashioned way of people providing the content to the system instead of someone doing it manually. Cuts down the extra traffic and so on. Plus it places the responsibility in crediting etc. to those who have the accurate information they want public...

Its actually better to provide a link to your site and a direct link to the mp3 or just the site - with the ok to broadcast

Techbot has an area to keep all submission together etc,

After all the hassle I gave people over late replies what do I go and do? Sorry Jmh but my PM box went from 10% to 100%full over two or three nights. I am going to have to go deleting, so I will make a list of the few Permissions I got via PM and publish them. Then the original contributers can confirm these over time.

Well, I don't disagree with the better at all. Better for third parties at least to get part of the attention

However, I already regret saying anything in public about this, and will butt out from this conversation. Since it's of no practical use really... I guess that the excitement once more took over

And will be back once we've talked shop with Techbot.

What he sees as the preferred way to run things is what will be done. Just like the choice to utilize what I've offered is his decision

Oh, and I do hope he hears from Ben... Where are you Ben, when your humble followers need you =)
