When you recovered the old version of final mix, did you re-install to an older version of the whole Tracktion program as well?

Are all you people with noise on final mix using more then 2 ASIO outputs? I.E. routing a track out to an ASIO output directly?

Installed it on my laptop, took that dll and just copied it over to my main machine while renaming the other final mix. I could a/b the 1.1.8 and 1.1.6 - 1.1.6 worked, 1.1.8 didnt

1 track, 1 midi clip, to a DX10, Tracktion reverb and final mix on the main out section (not on the track).

http://www.sitecode.com/BUG_finalmix.trkarch

thats and archive of the file.

I can a/b that now with final mix old and new and get the flaw with the new one ( demo of flaw is in a link a few posts up)

For me, it doesnt happen unless theres a reverb in front of it. Happens with a chorus too. Also happens with a sequence of reverb->delay->final mix but not just delay->final mix.

Yes, using 10 ASIO outputs (5*stéréo).
Reducing to one ASIO output (master only) has no better effect.

In case it got missed in another thread:
darcyb62 wrote:OKay... I reinstalled T2 V2.0.1.4 March 29 build and I no longer have the buzzing and clickiong problem. I copied the Mackie plugins to another directory so I have both old and new versions of Final Mix available and both seem to function fine. I noticed that CPU utilization appears to be lower with the older version, but it was still low enough with the newer version that it should not have caused the problems I saw. So I am sticking with the old for now.
Seems to me that, as I suspected, it's not FM that's the problem, but rather Tracktion itself.

So I guess the question is: where do we go from here?

I am going to keep using the original release version until I am comfortable the problem whatever it might be gets addressed.

Cheers.

So the thing is, who has got a 2.0.1.4 copy to share (because I have none left and my.mackie just offers the latest build), so we having problems can check whether it is T or FM causing all that fuss.

I have a copy but no place to host it... Just a note that it's on my home machine and I'm not in a position to forward it until I get home from work much later today.

I'm just going to one set of ASIO outputs here, if you're still bothered.

This is all very strange isn't it? It's a topsy turvy world we live in.

None of it's strange if people would just listen to what I've said. The world would be much smoother. Bush should give me a call, too.

We were listening! What was the part about the hats, again? :)

Wear'em. Hats are the new scarf. Then the monkey fish-copter circles the noon cement mixer.
