i have a quick question about this, i know most radio broadcasts(FM) range from 64-96kbps...

now, i have some demo's i did at 128 but also some I've done at 320, will they sound the same going through that 96kbps filter?

maybe i'm just not thinking logically on this, but as long as the source is higher than the radio frequency is it fair to say it will most likely sound pretty close or will people be able to tell?

well there's a lot that's gonna go on through the radio station anyhow, so it's hard to answer. The first time I had a song on the radio I couldn't believe how much breathing I was hear yet no one else noticed...;)

i know people with production "ears" will be able to pick out somethings, but generally speaking
I'm not responding to any thread with the word drop in it.

Back when I was in broadcasting, we used INCHES per second, not bits. :-D (Yes, really.)

no one can answer this?

Why not ask someone at a radio station? They might or might not tell the truth but it'd add a data point for you to think about.

Why not upload some 96 and 320 tracks to the music café of yours and get some feedback on them?

Best regards,

cause nothing beats the kick of hearing the dj announce your song...especially when it's a station you like...

I'm afraid your tune will be automatically downgraded to 64k or 96k on broacast. There is a difference and it does not take a producers ears to notice. But it's still as good if not better than FM radio.
Give me permission to play your tunes and I will and you can decide for yourself. If you then decide to withdraw your permission no probs.

Yours
Rob
