Though I'm without a doubt the most reverential KVR member of all (and the least sarcastic), I can yet deal with your style. Don't care to dredge up old disagreements. It'd be a shame to derail a thread that's going swimmingly (or was that trollingly?) well.

'Bye, nihilist! Hope the lifestyle comes together, and that you're more careful with your money in the future.

WTF is wrong with this guy? No respect. I guess everyone should use Viruses and listen to Techstep or Industrial. Because analog is so not cheesy.
As someone said earlier, cheese is in the ear of the beholder. I happen to have a tollerance for 120 pound norwegian men with corpse paint growling their lyrics in order to hide the fact that their english pronunciation is hilarious.

so last night I was working on this (about 20 seconds long) http://www.eminantdomain.com/studio/music/cheesy.mp3 is it cheesy? Or does the Hammond do the job and accentuate the part and define the feel?...This is the chorus of a song that I'm working on. TBH it's the second rewrite of the song that was born last month....it's the square wave and those four hammond chords coupled with the gi-tar that keeps this alive (btw it will stay alive no matter what)...the guitar is likely not gonna be the same take in the end...I'm still in the "what works" stage tone wise, the guitar is a tad out of time anyhow...;)

How the hell did this thread get turned into such a long tirade against my percieved taste in music? I meant it as a joke, and my responses weren't exactly serious...

First of all, I should have put some sort of emoticon next to all of my posts, just so that everyone would be 110% sure that I'm not being serious.

Second of all, I wasn't trying to attack or criticize anyone's taste in music, or the music they make. At least not seriously. I mean, I said I hadn't heard butter's stuff! Yes, maybe I worded my replies to be a bit barbed -- that's simply how I am.

Third of all, you people can hear my music when I get a hosting situation sorted out. I refuse to use a free service like myspace or soundclick, for reasons too long and off topic to post here.

So to put it bluntly, don't take joke threads so seriously, KVR.

Don't forget Radiohead!

well if I came on hear sarcastic or not and said dj's aren't musicians and spinning is cheesy...do you think the response would any different? Furthermore when you directly say one person's music sounded cheesy to you, don't you think it only fair and prudent to give an example of what you do not consider cheesy?

About hosting....sorry but I see that as an excuse and side tracking us...audioshots isn't free but it's pretty damn cheap, same with funender which gives you a full gig of storage for 5 bux a month. I use those and soundclick and pay less then 20 dollars a month total and I got about 100 times what I need .."getting a hosting situation sorted out"...c'mon that isn't a cheesy excuse? :P

The Pheonix, how close are we?
I never put the radio on anymore, so what is fnx playing these days?
We used to be close... these days I'm about halfway between Baltimore and DC. I stopped listening to FNX when they started playing Hip-Hop... don't we have MTV for that? :hihi: I think you can pick FNX up online if you wish.

The guy who reviewed me so badly is named Brett Milano. A few years later I noticed he wrote the liner notes for the Smithereens greatest hits. I agreed with his statements of how good they were, so unfortunately I can't say the guy is a total hack! :hihi:
