Jacob Carstens is developing a nice VST-instrument called live-slice. Its a late beta stage. It is very good and easy to operate. I have tried some betas and I like it a lot.

i do use basement arts reflex quite often due it's simple and has an amazingly useful file-browser, 4 'slots' and even our older machines can run dozens of that vst-plug at the same time. well, it's not freeware but it DOES a pretty good job!

This is the direct link to the live-slice page.
I tested the download, works fine. It said over 3000 downloads. Why are you having problems?

Sorry, I understand. My mistake
But I have got VST version directly from him. I helped him with some beta testing.
