If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

yes, I sure am.

..whats a host???

Here's the four I keep paying for updates to :)

Ableton Live The king as far as I'm concerned. I wanted to hate it already owning so many products, but the nice folks and seriously innovate design make it a knockout. They deserve some serious awards for their innovation.

FL Studio Nothing is faster for me (to launch or get ideas down), I use it all the time if theres something in my head to get down before it is forgotten. Has some shortcomings as does everything, but the value-for-money is really up there. Its impossible to put it away for good.

ProTools- nothings better for mixing and editing. BFD wouldn't exist without this sort of sample-accurate editing ability (I'd still be editing!) And sadly, at this point TDM support in other hosts isn't really up to par... so once you've bought the hardware (and want to use it) you're locked in. Good side is, it just keeps getting better for music production.

Logic so many good things in Logic, it has such deep roots in MIDI, but even the audio handling is superior to many. shame Apple killed PC dev, I'll be bitter forever (as I had just bought it for PC days before Apple bought em, and already owned it for mac).

FWIW, I just hate using different hosts. I'm pretty much of a keycommand whore, and you just can't setup the same keycommands in different hosts (even if they try to make you believe in that).
And of course I'm so much of a Logic "expert" that I really don't like the inefficient way of things being handled in other hosts.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Just Pro Tools & Cubase SX.

I also use FL but i wouldn't say its a "host"- i'd never mix in it- i just use it for making sounds & loops, and for playing around with VSTs.

I also use Audition for work, but i don't own it personally.

And I'd like to get my hands on Logic 7, but i hate its interface, i found it really awkward- but the sounds you get out of its included instruments is more than worth the asking price =)

Audiomulch makes nice sounds, and i play with it at friends places, but i don't own it either.

So i'm no whore, i just slut around =)

Well I've gone back from live4 to live3 instead of updating to V5 (I like keeping it for pure "audio only use).

Live 3 - all audio arranging composing
P5V2 - all midi related composing
Plogue - experimental modular patching
Reason - only ever sequenced from P5 so is only virtual instrument rack and IMHO doesn't qualify as a host in this situation.

Smex FX
Pluggo
ReaktorSession (thanx Ttoz) - Kubik - Vectrik - Foorius - Asynth - KarmaFX Modular.
And that's all I use (or will be using when Ttoz get's back from the US and I can pick up R.Session) :) .
Actually it's way more than enough IMHO.

FL Studio 5 ---> My primany host. All of my production begins here.

Live 3 ---> For the fun of doing a remix. Still undecided about Live 5 though.

Audition ---> Not a host per se, but it's still my choice for audio editing & final mixing.

And this list is subject to change. I'm keeping my eyes on the upcoming Sonar Home Studio & Orion 6.

I feel like a virgin  I only own Tracktion.
I did try many others but found no need for them.
Used to use Making Waves way back in 1995.

Good Idea! 8)

i've actually gone through some but never tend to use more than one or two at any given point.

currently i have licenses for live5 (that's what i've been using lately), logic6 (didn't buy pro 7 upgrade, got live instead hehe) and renoise.

sadly, i'm not a plugin slut, as of yet. the halls of my huge virtual studio echo in emptiness save a few little beauties scattered here and there. the logic room has huge racks full of synths, samplers and fx but it only opens with the "xs"-key and when i'm in the live mood, i can't get there for some reason... :(
never stop loving music.

I use Cubasis and Acid. I've tried other hosts but I can do everything I need with these two programs.

I wonder if there's any link between having lots of hosts and output...?

now THERES a question ...

:hihi: to be fair I just can't see the point of having multiple hosts when they probably have 95% identical features (especially given that I'd probably only use 50% of those features).

I`m a host-monogamist! :hihi:

Kan't agree more.
Using just SX is fine for me.
