Yes, the original announcement was ambiguous. I seem to remember somebody asked just this question on the Abes forum right at the start of the beta testing period... and they confirmed that PDC works for all instruments and effects, both Live's own and VST/AU plugins.

I don't have lots of latency-inducing effects, so can't thoroughly test that aspect - perhaps others can confirm more?

I have noticed that timing in general is much tighter in version 5 though

PS, you can manually adjust latency settings instead of using the automatic compensation if you wish. In the mixer section there is now a slot where you can do this on a per-track basis.

i've tested it with psp vintagewarmer and some others. seems to work fine.

still doesnt work with GRM-tools tho. everyone keeps forgetting about GRM!

christianmusicmaker, yes it does. as long as the plugins report their latency to the host of course, like with other hosts.

I'm having quite a few MIDI sync problems with 5.01 but I've deleted beta20.

Has anybody still got a copy of beta20 that I could perhaps try? (I'm a reg'd user).
