I really dont think you can put it down to genes. For starters, the ethnic profile of black people is as much as mix as it is for whites. Just look at the variety in Africa alone, without even considering the mix with white and hispanics.

To be quite honest, the term 'black' is now somewhat redunant imo.

The first Rock song was actually written and sang by black guy named Winonie Harris in 1948 called "Good Rockin' Tonight"

Just giving credit where it is due. This predates most of the stuff often cited as the first RnR songg by 5-10 years depending on the song being cited
