I need a virtual midi cable to link a standalone app. (that doesn't have rewire compatibility) to my sequencer (and I'd also like a sort of control panel to monitor the midi routings...
I've seen some on the internet but I'm too lazy to try both...

I've also found "loopbe1" that seems to be implemented specifically for win 2000/xp (i'm on xp)

interesting, thanks. I've installed loopbe1 however 'cause it seems to be the most recent-coded of the guoup. It's designed for nt systems (midi yoke, althought stable, is a beta with stopped development)
it has midi feedback prevention (it's easy to get midi feedback working with sequencers!)
On the other hand i don't need many slots, 1 is enough

Couldnt get MIDIYoke working on my XP system yesterday.

Marblesound's site is down.

Loopbe1 seemed to work fine (but I couldnt do what I needed with it, unfortunately)

just a little reminder for those who've not tried it, there are two versions of yoke - for XP you want to get the "MIDI Yoke NT" set.
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.
