When i installed M-Audio Audiophile USB on my HP NX7000 laptop (Win XP Pro SP2 - 1.5 GHz Pentium M - 768MB ram) it turned cpu use up to 100% in ASIO mode in FL Studio 5.0.2, even with an "empty" project!
It works fine with all other music software in ASIO mode, and in FL studio in DirectX and MME modes.
Any ideas?
My computer is optimised for music applications.

try to install the asio4all driver, they are often said to be better than the ones that come bundled with audiocards.
