For those who don't know there's a really nice drum kit available free on the Tchackpoum website:

http://www.tchackpoum.net/

The kicks & snares are very good, some really punchy snares & boomy bassdrums there. The hi-hats & cymbals are unfortunatly weaker, but they're still usable if there not too upfront in your mix.

There's also some quality drum loops with midi files for each groove. The audio is available only in .ogg so you'll need an application to convert them to .wav like Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) or dbPowerAmp (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/).

All these wonderfull sounds are made available to you thanks to a french drummer named Vincent. If you make a search on google for "Vincent" & "Tchakpoum" I think you'll be able to find the older versions of his kit in lm-4 format.

Enjoy!

Thanks very much. These look to be great.

Vincent might be the funkiest Frenchman I've ever heard - good drumming and worth downloading. Thanks for posting this, amigo.

Much appreciated, I'm on 56k so the complete kit is on a long leash but I like what I've heard so far.
