I was just reading the copy for that plug.
So...which critics "acclaimed" Amplitube?

It looks like it is only a stand-alone app, ie not a VST.

I think it's lame that they didn't make this a VST. They would have won a lot of 'hearts and minds' had they done so.

It's a tech demo, an ad. Not a 'free' useful product.harmony gardens wrote:Gees, you guys are tough,,, did you see the word "FREE" there?????

I got the LE version with Tracktion 2 but I couldn't find a use for it. It reminds me of a cranky bumble bee.

Don't get me wrong, I like Amplitube myself, but this was just kindof lame. Wasn't it limited enough without making it a stand-alone?

Standalone, damn, already clicked download.
Is there still a way to bounce audio with the effect applied though? Will it take extreme measures such as audio hijack. If so, I can't be bothered.
Anyone noticed that instead of putting "United States" and other developped countries at the top of the country list, they just listed about 20 countries and arranged them in alphabetical order backwards, effectively putting "United States" and "United Kingdom" at the top. Pretty off topic eh.

Sure, "Free" is good. I just thought it was a VST plug-in and I don't have my guitar here at work, so it's useless to me. I was hoping to run some wave files through it. It's a nice gesture, I might try it at home, but....*YAWN*...what's that over there?...harmony gardens wrote:Gees, you guys are tough,,, did you see the word "FREE" there?????
