wierdly decided to change a global setting - subdiv and now sqpusher works!!! odd!!!

this is gonna kick ass!!!

is it possible to put a loop button in it so that it loops the last beat by capturing the audio or something or maybe with probability settings. beats and divisions determined by the user with two separate sliders. it would be awesome to play with live. tweak away!!!

i guess one could use scuzzphut's phutboy slim on top of it. but i think it would be very cool to have it built in.

Can I please have some kind of master probabilty slider (like on supatriga)? This will help me tame the beast a bit.
this plug is the kind of thing I just want to use for fills and want to have my normal beats play the rest of the time.

I'm sorry but it's no. use another plug before livecut for that.

BTW Nick Collins, the author BBCut, often uses multiple cutters with differents settings in order to achieve more complex results.

in cutproc11 mode
set (min/max)repeats to 1
(i.e. just1 shot not repeating)
then with stutter you have the probability of a repeat at the end of a phrase. and area gives it's length (1.0 = 1 bar long fill)
so you can set min/maxphrase to 1 and automate stutter.

in warp mode
straight is the probability of straight fills so you can automate this one in order to have fills just were you want.
if straight is 1.0 and duty is 1.0 then it's equivalent to bypass

squarepusher is more dedicated:
it only works with subdiv=8,
normal bars are made of short rythmic repeats in 8th and 16th depending on the activity slider.
and every last bar of a phrase is a fill choosen among a library of idiomatic transcripted fills by Nick Collins.

Really dig this, mdsp. The three different modes are a nice touch. I layered this with Supatrigga for a while, seemed like the computer decided to sing me a song in its own special way.

Can anyone get it to work in FL Studio? I don't get any sound when Livecut is an insert effect.

Sorry, still not getting anything. For example I used an instance of MicroTonic and created a simple pattern, with LiveCut as a channel insert, and I selected "use fixed buffer size". Still no sound. I'm sure it's something I'm doing
