Just curious how the new Miroslav Philharmonik is being recieved at summer NAMM? Anybody know?

The competition seems to be holding off their new orchestral libraries in anticipation of Miroslav's impact.

As I said before, I think this library is going to be the one to beat at this price. :D

I saw it in action and the sounds were excellent. There's a lot there and unfortunately I didn't have time to look at absolutely everything (and I really wanted to hear the choir, but couldn't.) The IK booth seemed more focused on Amplitube and the Philharmonik was kind of auxillary. However, I am looking forward to it even more after hearing the strings in person. I absolutely love the interface and the built in effects processing is great. I'd have liked to have a chance to look more closely at the legato feature, but NAMM isn't the best place for an in depth analysis of a program.

How'd Amplitube 2 sound?
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

It rocked. :D

They were playing into it live at the booth right next to me. It sounded awesome.

Good to know. Here's for hoping it's everything it's cracked up to be, cause it sure looks nice on paper, now if it sounds good to boot I'm gonna have to pick it up (must save more money).

Well, to my ears, it was indistiquishable from the 'real' thing. The guys were tearing it up every hour with someone playing drums through Sampletank. It was cool to see and hear and to know that the guitars were all being routed through a VST effects unit.

AmpliTube 2 is stellar. The stomps alone are worth it in my opinion.

At first I thought you were asking how Miroslav himself is doing which ironically we just visited him today. He's doing fine and is very impressed with Philharmonik and thinks it will be a big hit. That's always nice to hear from the person who started the concept of high end orchestral libraries in the first place.

Anyway, the Summer NAMM (which is usually in Nashville) is focused more on guitars. I didn't go this time and I am the main one here who knows Philharmonik inside and out.

Thanks for the info! :D

No wonder I only hear about guitar news...and lots of them as well!

So, when is it keyboard heavy?

Winter NAMM is more software heavy which will include synth stuff.
