So I've seen a few veiled references to being able to upgrade the Kompakt player included with certain sample libraries to the full version. I poked around on NI's site and didn't find any reference to this.
So I guess the question is, is it possible and if so how much does it cost?
I have a ton of Spectrasonics AKAI CDs I want to use again.....

There used to be a crossgrade price of sorts, that if you had a kompakt instrument or intakt then you could get kompakt for $129, I think, or if you had kompakt then you could get intakt for $129.
I don't see it on their website right now, but see the "upgrade to Kontakt2" offer instead. Perhaps this is their new offering and the other was discontinued?

Sorry to butt in ...while we,re on this subject ,do these Kompakt/intakt instruments like ethno world 3,storm drum etc, allow for a second installation on a laptop the same as normal NI products or is installation/activation only possible on one machine?

I believe most NI products allow for 2 simultaneous authorizations.
