...any choirs? I noticed that Kompakt has a few things from "Voices of the Apocalypse". As far as I can tell Kontakt 2 doesn't, but I'd like to hear it from the someone who has the product.

The NI website is short on details, listing only the overview of the contents:

For a cheap start, you may want to try the free Papelmedia soundfonts.

I'll second that. For the money you also get male and female solo singers.

It's nice to hear someone actually recommend this guy instead of slag him off

Last time I mentioned him it started a whole war going about where he rips his source material from before he processes it all

Well, regardless whether he might deserve some slagging (I never thought about it), the fonts are pretty good.
