Thanks for doing a great job.
There's a new beta up as of this morning.
Most importantly...
If you've got it working (and recording) could you please send some setup screenshots to beta@chordspace.com The biggest problem people are having is with routing. I'd like to publish a pictorial setup for each host.
ChordSpace. Something from nuffink.

Good idea Wopelka. It's 2604 chorsd alltogether or something I think. So 12 keys to select which root you want and then 31 on top of that to select the chord from whatever key you are in.

i think the best method chordspace could adopt would be to have midi learn, that way you don't have to fanny around much - just right-click the shape you want and press a key, then you can program in your chords on the piano roll with ease.
as usual...
when i finish the prog i'm working on (seriously - no more side projects til it's done
) i'll give chordspace a go, and see if i can get a nice C++ version running. i've already made a midi-learn engine that would slot right in nicely.
as usual...
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

I wish there was MIDI input or some way to trigger back what has been recorded in eXT to ChordSpace, to see what hexagons you actually pushed, because once it's in the recorder, I have no way of knowing what it is unless I write it down in some kind of secret hexagon code and you know I don't have a pen and even if I did I don't have any paper either.
For Chordspace I guess just history of recently pressed chords would suffice.

Yeah that would be a good tradeoff. Written out with some type of elaborate naming convention so we could all dazzle our theory friends that thought we would never amount to anything.
Anyway nuffink here is a picture of my routing in eXT inside Renoise http://www.graphevade.com/etc/ChordSpace.jpg. It's quite big (1900x1200 or something), couldn't get my webmail to handle it.

Cool but what the heck is that big spreadsheet thing? I don't recognize it at all.Yeah that would be a good tradeoff. Written out with some type of elaborate naming convention so we could all dazzle our theory friends that thought we would never amount to anything.

i've emailed nuffink a link to a brief screenshot'd tutorial on how to record the MIDI from chordspace to a track in Tracktion.
I presume it's okay to post the link here too, for any testers, and seeing as news is properly around now...

not a pretty page, but it explains all you need to do (you need a MIDI loopback virtual driver as T only records what arrives at an input port, not what is sent to the track's output)

[a tracker is an OLd5K00L music tool - it's sort of like a cross between a sampler and a pattern-based step-sequencer, but the sequences are shown like a spreadsheet with vertical columns representing the tracks... you enter the notes using your keyboard at the desired time interval - each vertical step represents one fraction of a measure depending on how it's set, and each track controls one particular sample slot]

I guess what I am asking is REnoise essential to get Chrordspace to record midi output in eXT?
