Nope - I don't use Renoise but I'm guessing that eXT is acting like a VST inside of it rather than as a host (one of eXT's strengths and areas of confusion is that it can be both a host and a VST - you can even host multiple instances of eXT inside of eXT!)

I have no web space to post a screenshot of using just eXT with Chordspace but I've emailed one to Nuffink.

Regards,

Derek.

Absolutely not. But eXT is necessary to get Chordspace to run in Renoise, which doesnt support MIDI out from plugins.

And Renoise is not obsolete! The spreadsheet may look strange, but it's actually a quite convenient way of editing. Something for people who like to make music using the PC keyboard :)

I am trying FLS, eXT, Live 5, TRacktion 2 and hopefully Sonar 4.

Am I the only one oc Logic 5.51 PC?
I could give this a go I think...(using eXT, logic won't send midi to VST's)

Should work in eXT regardless of which host you're using. Ehrm and this was kind of superfluous remind me to refresh the topic next time.

Nice one haydxn. I'll snag that for the site, if I may.

Now with improved MIDI jitter!

Good stuff now all I need is some time to try it out.

incidentally, the principle of using the loopback should work in any host that allows you to route a track to a specific output, although the steps taken will clearly be different.

you could always load up a standalone instance of energyXT with only MIDI Yoke 1 as the midi output, and connect chordspace to that. Then, in whatever sequencer you like, you have your synth set to listen to the MIDI yoke 1 input port, and you're laughing. You just have the eXT chordspace window on top when you want to press the shapes whilst the other host is recording.

[edit: that WILL work in any host. i promise ;) ]

only using the ext as a modular method.

i am thinkin orion wont record internal midi, maybe if i try outputting it to a midiout then that to a midi in and does this sound complicated to other orion users?
