I actually have record by The Jolly Rogers which is partly what spooks me about the pirate idea. I might be able to remix something, but trying the convincingly emulate or honestly pay tribute to a musical style which is NMCOT would be an unsatisfying challenge IMHO. I've done it many times.

The palindrome idea is interesting. It's something I've considered before, but never fully completed..

It is kind of a narrow field, I have to admit. But http://www.chivalry.com/axel/sounds/mermaid-x.wav with some technoid glitchyness, hard beats and some top notch MC ontop saying stuff about booty. Tell me in all honesty that there is nothing alluring about that.
