audiomulch input feedback loop

I've been happily mulch for a week or so and for no apparent reason when I connect an input object to the output and press play, this feedback loop starts. the delay time seems to be dependant on the audio buffer size and I've tried different audio drivers and no change. No external input is needed either, it seems to be purely internal. I've even reinstalled windows and audiomulch and no change.

Strange happenings. I've never had any problems of the sort. Write out your system specs (CPU, OS (including service packs), audio card, drivers, audio rate in preferences) and send them to Ross Bencina. He'll get you sorted (might take a week). You also try posting to the Mulch group at Yahoo, someone may have had the same problem. I've never seen anyone mention that before.

Do you mean input as in external input (i.e. SoundIn)?
If so, perhaps you have your soundcard set to record "what you hear" or some equivalent. That'd make a feedback loop alright.

Thanks guys, I'll tinker around a little more. I was so hyped about getting back into the world of computer music and it's just been one drama after another. Just sent my soundcard back to the store for a replacement since it is causing my system to crash on boot up. So I wanted to print some manuals so I could get familiar with the software...the printer jammed on the first document in it's career and needs to be serviced...I just want to make some noise dammit!!

WOO HOO! I don't know what I did, but I was fiddling around in the audio settings and problem seems to be averted. I have found XT is better at handling realtime VST stuff in my system than audiomulch - so in uncharacteristic celebration I pulled out the old electric guitar and played some AC/DC with the JCM900 plug in.
Now to get my indigo io back from the shop...
