Anyone follow minimal electronic music? I’m interested in Christopher Willis live guitar effects.

Samples

Any thoughts on how this might be done? (some sort on delay/feedback/studder???)

Post

try livecut

you should be able to get some pretty similar effects out of it.

cheers,

steve.

edit: although it states its a breakbeat reordering tool the effect should be similar.

Sounds like there's some re-ordering, stuttering, and reversing of the incoming signal taking place.

blaster78's suggestion is good. You might also want to try Slifty http://www.smartelectronix.com/~andreas ... &p=8&kat=0 and Ioplong's other stuff,
KtGranulator
http://www.koen.smartelectronix.com/KTGranulator/
and
AudioMulch's delay line granulator.

Reaktor, Max, and Bidule if you have the time.

and all the others I haven't mentioned due to the fact that I have to go do my laundry.

Have fun! :)

DFX Scrubby or Skidder from Smartelectronix could be useful

Thanks for the suggestions all!!!

I think allofdrab your close; Willits describes his sound as “folding”. How he does this live is the tricky part….

Glad you liked this type of music. I highly recomend http://www.12k.com/index2.htm (http://www.12k.com/index2.htm) for more.
