I'm looking for a place that sells good techno/trance/etc drum loops for download. I don't need pad/lead/arp/bass loops or anything like that... I write all of that myself, but I'm rather useless when it comes to electronica drums and percussion.

Such an open-ended query is the proverbial needle in the haystack, so I figured I'd ask here first before I go traipsing around the internet for hours. :D

I like the whole "construction kit" type of loops for their flexibility, I'd really prefer those.

My advice? Learn! It's worth it. Get all the classic breakbeats and some single hits and dig in. Invest yourself in your music and you shall be rewarded

But if you insist... BT's Breakz From the Nu Skool is the best goddamn electronica drumloop CD period.

Check http://www.mi7libraries.com/main/samples/

Both exclusive as well as samples from well know samplecd series. Big archive and easy to browse and preview all samples before adding them to your cart.

I definitely want to learn how to write electronica drums!

But during the learning process, it never hurts to have some loops to fall back on. ;)

...alternatively, buy a copy of Reaktor - some stunning beat machines in the collection and great tools to be able to create your own beat machine if those on offer don't do it for you (but ah...I bet they will  )

Also, I forgot to mention, I'm using SampleTank 2, so I need standard .wav solutions (no Kontakt, HALion, Giga, etc formats).

Well, did you check the link I posted? They are selling regular wav files. They provide patches for samplers as a benefit. Nothing you need to purchase/use if you don't want to, since the samples come as stand alone as well.

Try the search engine, it's really good, you can search based on genre, format, producer and more. Really nice.

I checked it out, indeed.

I'm in the process of browsing the site right now, acutally. :)
