Interesting - A friend of mine just recently purchased a new PC to be his dedicated DAW and also bought nuendo 3. He just setup his MOTU 2408 interface, and has a big book on Nuendo. That program is awesome, but really about the most unintuitive beast I've seen in audio software. I get why people like it's feature set, but after using Live, I just don't see how anyone can have the patience to learn all that. We spent an hour or so trying to figure out how to do the same thing I spent 3 minutes figuring out in Live to do. I am more impressed daily with Live. I love the midi features of Live too. I don't really need any more in depth features for the type of music I make. My friend records a lot of other bands, so I can see his point in getting Nuendo. That and portability, since his main recording studio he used to go to for his band uses Nuendo, he can just transfer project files easily. I'll stick with Live. At the rate they are improving their program, we will get the features needed that aren't in there very soon. Funny, but I can get the same professional sounding results with both programs, but spend 1/8 of the time learning to do it. I think it's about $2000.00 difference in price too. Just had to post again after that frustration session last night. yay Live! 8)

I forgot to add in there that if Tracktion beefed up it's features a bit, I'd be all over that one too. I got the free version when available, but haven't upgraded to V2 yet. that program is extremely user friendly too. Great potential. for the features, it's priced alright. I did read all the improvements. Competition sure makes things great for us end users.
