Is it possible to update my old logic v4.8 to v5.5.1 somehow? I know emagic is only for mac nowadays, but I would like to buy the v5.5.1 license for pc! Is it possible? Maybe I should contact emagic?

EMagic had a limited amount of 4.8 -> 5.0 upgrade kits for PC's. IF you didn't buy one back then, you're SOL. IF you can find someone selling the 5.x dongle though, you can get Logic 5.5.1 then. I sold mine like 2-3 years ago.

I know this is not what anyone wants to hear around here but when a company abandons a platform, it's the only option... you can always get a cracked version of 5.5.1.
And before everyone starts screaming and yelling, no I don't use any warez other than Logic 5.5.1. (Actually I barely even use that, my main DAWs are SX3 and Live 5.) Just for the record, I've spent well over $7000 on music software in the last three years with over $1000 of that coming in the last month with upgrades to Live and Reaktor and full purchases of Vokator and Kontakt 2.
I'm just saying that when you WANT to pay for a product but Apple has said they no longer want you as a customer unless you use a Mac, you only have two options: Give in and drop $3000 on a Mac or use what's available to you on a PC.
