WHen I compared the various ones I listed above, to my taste two of the top three were Magnus Ambience and SIR, both freeware. For me at least this rather defeats the point of spending money on a reverbRAYA wrote:I think is a poor rev, there're better freeware ones.
(The exception would be if I bought one in a bundle where the other plugs were important, or if I wanted a complete suite of effects from one developer.)

I personally feel it's the best quality native reverb out there, but it is a one trick pony and is pretty much restricted to plate type rooms.Wasn't it mentioned before that Princeton uses a different form of Pace unlike Waves and the like, and wasn't that discussed here before?

OK, which option covers "hotly interested, but no cash right now?"
Broke my heart to NOT get this, but there it is....

Alright, casted my vote......Like i said in the other thread...I had my credit card in my hand and was completely ready to dive head first into this group buy....Once I realized that it used PACE, I quickly slipped my credit card back into my wallet and decided not make the purchase. Sorry princeton.....I really liked the sound of the original eventide verb, so i would've went for this....PACE is just a big turn off. With all the work i do in my little project studio, and all the plug's on my system, i can't afford to be crashing everytime i use a PACE plug.
peace!

Yeah, likewise...I would've bought it like a shot without PACE. I'm pleasantly surprised so many voted for PACE as the reason for not buying...there must be many more out there, not involved in KvR who thought the same way. And to many of us, $200 is peanuts for a quality reverb.
The point isn't whether you like the sound of the reverb or not...that's subjective anyway...but that so many like it but are put off by PACE. And I know the light system is supposed to be alot safer, but I just won't go near it - they could have released it with a PACE-less dongle, and I probably would have bought it.

I tried the demo and when I ran the Cakewalk VST Adapter the demo reg page came up. I tried to reg the demo but it crashed the Adapter. Now I can't use the demo at all. It just won't show up in any of my hosts (Sonar 4, Live 4 and ACID 5). So much for PACE copy protection. I might've bought it if the demo hadn't completely shut down because of PACE. Absolute rubbish system and counter productive.
I sincerely hope the Princeton devs are reading this thread.

Wow...which presumably means the complete product is unusable in Sonar or any of their other hosts...and I thought Cakewalk were pretty popular in the US, aren't they? That's an even bigger market they've closed down for themselves.I tried the demo and when I ran the Cakewalk VST Adapter the demo reg page came up. I tried to reg the demo but it crashed the Adapter. I'm not sure if other Sonar users have had this problem or if Princeton have updated their verb and solved it but at the moment I can't use it at all.kritikon wrote:Wow...which presumably means the complete product is unusable in Sonar or any of their other hosts...and I thought Cakewalk were pretty popular in the US, aren't they? No, it does not by any stretch of the imagination. I *was* kinda interested, see... And at $50-60 for the single product, or at $100 bundled with the plate, I probably would have gone for it.ttoz wrote:does the option "the product doesn't intereste me" not make sense to you?
