Ever wonder what it would be like if we had a second set of vocal cords connected to our vocal cords, so we could make amplitude modulation/Frequency modulation sounds with our voices? no? well ill get the coat, then

That's a cool thought. I'm sure we could try it out in a modular soft synth that has formant filters. At least that way it wouldn't require a vocal cord transplant and brain surgery to enable control the new cords

dude i would kill for the real thing. I would grab children/old people/midgets and scream devil voices in their faces (not really, but it would be very cool to be able to do).
It only takes shoving a little bit of mucus in the back of your throught to get a good amplitude mod sound out of your voice. I'm sure weve all done that, right? like in the morning?

Check out what them throat singers can do with their voice. Ain't nothing like hearing a person produce two voices simultaneously...

(The lead singer visited the town I did my last art studies, every summer... and held courses and performed semi-privately. Amazing what he can do)
My two favorite non-electronic sounds in the universe: throat singing and didjeridu. Still haven't gotten to the former, the latter I've been doing for years and it's fun to freak out people with 'secret chanting' - producing clear, intelligible speech on top of the basic drone sound (not to mention the countless other things you can do, 2 or even 3 different sounds simultaneously if you have the necessary skills).
Ring mod is for sissies!
