I agree with the advice about Delphi. It would make a sensible move.

I think VB-related coding is great for certain types of things - but not for a new OS shell and not for a full-blown music studio app.

Can we learn a little more about you and what you are trying to achieve?

I'm guessing you know little to nothing about DSP, handling audio etc. and you are probably borrowing bits and pieces from all over the place, trying to tie them together to become a "studio".

What do you want to do with your programming? It looks like you've taught yourself what you've got to so far which is great, but rather than continuously aiming to create enormous projects that are destined (at this stage) to fail, maybe you can start a little smaller with the appropriate technologies and develop from there.

Rather that selling yourself as a company producing valuable software, maybe you can present yourself as a developer wanting to learn how to write software.

From seeing what you've been doing so far I would have to say the ambition to create Babya Studio (I refuse to call it Logic), is really admirable but something you're not really ready for. It's an extremely daunting task to do this even if you are a reasonably experienced programmer using C++ or Delphi.

I think you need to step back, take stock of where you want to take this obvious passion of yours and then seek some advice.

I really hope you get on track to doing what you want to do, but I think it might be a good idea to look into doing a tertiary course in programming and start building the foundations or something along those lines.

Yes, Babya Airlines does include a large coil spring that lets you land Boeing 747 on Meigs Field runway without removing the top of Adler Planetarium.

Ditto, and maybe the Airline project can wait a bit too,at least until the flying lessons are complete.

Well, at least I had a laugh now.
no doubt. this is rubbish... It has as much to do with Apple/Emagic Logic as One Night in Bangkok (good song) had to do with real Thai music.

Actually, the airline isn't quite as silly as it looks. It's a virtual airline, which is to say it's done for fun in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

That said, I wonder how many airlines are built around flying the Cessna 172 out of Meigs Field.* (They're MSFS' default airplane and default airfield.)

That's alright. We at alt.comp.freeware have had to put up with him for a long, long time. :help:

I have some screenshots below of Babya ESE synth and its synth music editor (a synth that produces 70/80's style beep based sounds)- which will be included with Babya Logic:

Although the situation was handled improperly by Daley(everything is),it was the right thing to do.So now instead of an airport that was funded by the city that only a handful of rich people could use it is a park for everyone to use.

lol @ Alan.. that's only funny because everyone lived! (which I still find petty incredible!)

Babya Logic will also a simple and effective sound sampler, Babya SampleStudio.

Babya SampleStudio in a completely functional, realtime (on the fly) sampler/sequencer which allows you to load, save, play, record, select, paste, loop, zoom, and trigger unlimited, simultaneous sound samples of any length, with multiple (mixed) formats. Also lets you assign hotkey assignments for each sample. Hotkeys are used in combination with , and keys, as triggers for playing, looping, and stopping samples on demand. Saves and loads file & hotkey data in 'Sound Bank' files (similar to a music player's play list), for easy retrieval of prior settings.
