Ive been using BPM Studio fro the longest. I feel it has a classic GUI, pefect to get on with. Not as feature laden as Tracktor, but it doesnt get crazy confusing either. Has ASIO multichannel capabilities, and a nifty hardware controller that costs an arm and a leg, but gives you a real hardware surface to mess about. My choice, but you have to do all your mixing in real time, I believe you can store a songs BPM, but who does that anyways, I personally like pitching my tracks as I play em, I like to do the DJ stuff.
Why cry about your own desires, when I could have them and leave you standing in the sadness of your own....

i hate the concept actually for the same reason i hate when dj's use cd's (unless theyre spinning thier own tracks only on them, of coarse)Kriminal wrote:anyone using a lappy to DJ choooons?

well not HATE, but you know
Sasha is doing cool stuff now though. He's opening his tracks in live and mixing them together inside live, blurring the lines between dj'ing and live p/a.

I've demoed both virtual dj and traktor. I must say that I really really really prefer virtual dj.

The "x-fade EQ" feature is a nifty one
I also like that different skins have different functionality and so forth. You need to check a few skins out before you decide on which you prefer, both visually and feature-wise.
