I'm looking for a windows program to do batch conversion of a bunch of samples; i don't know if such a program exists. What I'd like to do is point the software at a folder and have it convert all samples from 24/96 to, say, 16/44.1 and vice/versa without having to load each file separately into my sequencer for downsampling/upsampling, etc. Does such a (free) program exist?
It's better to burn out...than it is to um..to um...well, something, anyway...

What you need is dbPowerAMP

Thanks. it looks like dbPowerAMP is now shareware, though. It's supposed to work for 30 days, which might get me through the list of files I have to convert. It's just kind of a pain to open each one, the "Export as Mono" in a sequencer. You know, you'd think this would be a common problem...

Take a look at r8Brain. It can do batch files up and down to most any level, and its free. Its pretty nice and works good....

Yes, voxengo's r8brain is the one to beat - and it's free. Don't know if it'll work in batch, though there's a commercial (not free) version of it which undoubtedly has extra features so check them all out, and decide if one suits your needs:Smurf43 wrote:Take a look at r8Brain.
