great idea bmanic !!!

(BTW ... anyone else find it funny that on the otherwise very cool novakill site BONES needs to explain ORION by comparing it to REASON ??? ... which came first ???)

It's interesting. Especially when I know Bones is telling the truth on this part:

- Reliability: ORION is very stable, even when using a lot of plugin instruments, and has a very low CPU overhead compared to a lot of sequencers. Using it's native instruments can save even more processing power.
- Flexibility: It's hardware-esque set-up provides a very flexible framework for creating complex mixes without any fuss. The fact that we have been able to create our own interface for it is another example of its superior flexibility in comparison to other software.

Really? How so?

Rob, in the end recognisablity comes down to who runs the most advertisements, not which has been around the longest. Propellerheads have a huge marketing budget, Synapse have none.

Symptohm loads samples as the oscillators, that can then be mutated in various ways. Short .wav files are looped endlessly. It comes with about 10 wavetable files, like saw, square, a couple of pulses, and a bunch of sine waves with harmonics added. Having lots more .wav files makes lots more sounds possible. So ta!
I take it these .wavs are not copyrighted or licensed?
