Pan Flute, Wurlitzer, Guitars, Calliope, and over 50 drum kits. Where have I seen a collection like this before?,,, hmm, a few places! But one thing I know about SR, is sample quality is a top priority, so what was (or currently is) the coolest, best sounding source of all these things together?? hmm, I have an idea, but I may be wrong so Ill hold my final guess for now, besides, it will fun to wait and see!

Well I have a theory, it's a crappy theory, but a theory all the same - it's "Miroslav"!
Squids has often stated how there is lots of his other stuff lying around, which covers a large variety of areas, so why not - especially with Philharmonik being released.
Bass - Squids states that a guitar appears, but if he revealed the "type" of guitar, then it would give the game away.
Calliope - Appears on "Birdland" / Weather Report
Though straight away, my theory goes wonky, as Jaco Pastorius had replaced him, at this point in Weather Report.
Pan Flute - Appears on "The Peasant" / Weather Report
Though it's a sampled pan flute from the E-MU Emulator
Wurlitzer
Miroslav > Weather Report > Zawinul > "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy"

That a good theory. An additional Miroslav library. All the people that preordered Philharmonik will not only get the upgrade price but also an additional 20%.

Oh man, this is way more fun of a thread than I thought! No, no it's not something from Miroslav. No Miroslav Weather Report Wurlys in the works.
But, there will be more Miroslav products in the future.
I am dying to tell you. Maybe I will reveal another clue. It is great for making music in a wide variety of styles. It's not quite as heavy as another similar product out there from a certain bird that turns to ash (not bird as in a girl, but use a Compass and maybe you can find it) but it is maybe more practical. You can cover a lot of bases (and it has basses

My guess is it will feature the "I-Key". Am I right Squids?
I personally don't like dongles, but I guess it beats the 3 authorizations, which are not fun either. I myself am getting a new DAW in a month, and will need to talk to IK about new authorizations for original Sampletank. Hopefully IK will grant that for me.

Anyway, no it will not have a key. It is yet another unprotected library (I mentioned the formats it will support in the first post). In customers we trust. As always we sincerely thank you all for your support. In fact, we will be doing either a group buy and/or special discount for the launch to esoundz members.

Ah, now I get it--Nick Phoenix--Colossus--the SR new product is a GM set on steroids plus other goodies for songwriters and performers. But it is not the 32 GB monster that Colossus adds up to (disk streaming allows that size I guess.)
Sounds cool.

Thanks Squids,
I myself participated in a number of GroupBuys and my library of sounds is getting pretty big. I'm thinking of getting a pair of hard drives, hook them up into a RAID array and put my librarys on it, to improve disk streaming etc. I like the fact that our tools, VSTi's keep getting better and better. Just a few years ago I was dreaming of having a Symphony Orchestra library and now I got two of them. Did some work with them and the results are pretty amazing. Same thing with drums, pianos, church organs. Guitars ... that's another beast although there are tools to get a convincing guitar tracks as well.
So keep up the good work Squids, and keep the good deals comming our way !!!

That would make it Omnisynth 2, so to say.fgrittner wrote:Ah, now I get it--Nick Phoenix--Colossus--the SR new product is a GM set on steroids plus other goodies for songwriters and performers. But it is not the 32 GB monster that Colossus adds up to (disk streaming allows that size I guess.)

What I'd like to see, but this isn't the case here is dedicated classical libraries in the quality range of Philharmonik for single instrument groups. You know Philharmonik-like but just strings, or just brass or just woodwinds or just percussion. Taking the price of Philharmonik, one would think that strings-only could be available for $150 to $180. That would be nice.

Bravo Fred! Well done. When I said bird I meant Phoenix and when I said Compass I meant East/West. But, of course this was an idea we had long before that product ever existed. It is, in fact, OmniSoundz 2! Over 2 gigs in all of those formats. Each sound is a bit larger with either more samples across the keyboard or more velocity switches. But, there are a few unique aspects to it beyond that. I will tell you more very soon but it is a great all around meat & potatoes set for anyone to have. OmniSoundz, OmniSynth, Sonik Synth 2 and Sonic Station users will all be able to get it for less (and maybe even less than less if we do a group buy or have a promo intro offer on www.esoundz.com ). So far this is an exclusive esoundz.com product. It will be ready some time this month or next month at the latest. No official announcement yet but you heard it (or guessed it) here first.fgrittner wrote:Ah, now I get it--Nick Phoenix--Colossus--the SR new product is a GM set on steroids plus other goodies for songwriters and performers. Price is more than Omni 1 (which is still available as a lighter option) and much less than the Kalawsis.
I should have mentioned this as a prize before but Fred you win a free copy. Congrats and thanks for playing! The person who first guessed it was a GM set gets second prize which is half off (if you want it of course).
Was it a fun game?

Good stuff Squids!
Looks like I may be able to retire Omni 1 for Omni 2 then.

Hey Squids, when you say Project 5 is one of the formats, are you talking about Dimension or the DS864 sampler?
