Crossgrade to Miroslav Philharmonik from GPO

I have some good news for owners of Garritan's Personal Orchestra (even if you bought it at the low group buy price). We're allowing on www.esoundz.com for a limited time during the pre-order and launch period for GPO owners to qualify for the crossgrade discount. We're friends with Gary and we were thinking that most people can benefit from picking up a variety of affordable orchestral products so why not help those users out a little on the price?
Now, there's no double qualifying if you own ST2 AND GPO (as I know some of you do) but the good thing is that more people qualify for the crossgrade which is yet one more reason to get on board and order it while you have the chance to get a deal like this: http://www.esoundz.com/details/viewDeta ... ductID=598

Squids,
I emailed about this today, but still haven't gotten a reply back - what if we qualify for this yet put our order in already?

No problem. It can be altered after the fact. alex@esoundz.com is the email to use for Alex to handle it this week for you.sghoughton wrote:Squids,

This is a great deal for GPO users! I got in on the GPO group buy, at the last minute. The two libraries should compliment each other nicely.
Don't forget to use harmonygardens as a referrer to get your $5 worth of epointz, too.

Thats excellent. I will put that toward CSR when it comes out. You guys are excellent.
I also got on the GPO group buy even though some suggested it might not be worth while if I'm getting miroslov. I've been quite happy with it. Then ordered Miroslav. Now I'm anxious for GPOA. And then Studiophonic. And then RA. Oh man - this is painful.

Yeah, GPO is good value for the money and that group buy was almost rediculous how low it was. But, if it served to bring more musicians into the orchestral library/module arena then I think it is a good thing. Same thing with products like Garageband and Jampacks. They get people introduced to the world of orchestral sounds and then when those people are ready to add to their set up there are luckily products like Philharmonik to get for all of the additional unique sounds and useful features.
Sometimes people call it a "competitive crossgrade" but I don't like to use that term because it implies some kind of "switch". Who says anyone has to switch? Use NI and IK software, use Garritan and SR sounds. Why not? More variety for you! It's limiting for people to think it has to be an either/or situation. So, anyway, to promote the idea of opening up the world of Miroslav to GPO users we thought of this just for the launch and we'll see how it goes. Consider it a gesture and an invitation.

Thanks for the gesture and the invitation. Orchestral colors are not mutually exclusive and the more colors in the palette the better for the user to create their sonic masterpieces. I am a long time user of Miroslav. It is a fabulous collection and the two work well together.
Wishing you and the folks at SR a successful launch of Philharmonik.

Thanks Gary. Maybe you can post in your forum at Northern Sounds that all of your users qualify for a discount on Miroslav Philharmonik. I am sure they'll appreciate it. It's good for people to know that not only do some of us developers have a good attitude about these things but also the truth about how orchestral sample collections in particular compliment each other. The good thing about GPO and Philharmonik is that they are in a range that is more affordable to get more than just one as opposed to people expecting to buy more than one $1,000+ collection... even though as you and I both know there are quite a few composers who practically buy them all no matter what the price.
Gary and I share a common goal to reach new people and give them the opportunity to have the fanastic experience of working with a virtual orchestra. With GPO and Philharmonik in your set up you have that much more power to arrange and build up a powerful sound with diverse character and expression. There are even some similar programming schemes such as volume expression with the modwheel that the two products share so it is an easy seemless integration.
I encourage GPO users around here to spread the word as well. We put it on www.esoundz.com and we've had quite a few people take advantage of the opportunity. But, it's only done on esoundz and only for the launch period (ends September 30th). I may put this info into a banner ad here and on Northern (also the info about Miroslav lib owners also qualifying). It's a good opportunity especially for those on a tight budget. Consider it a reward for opening up to the world of mixing more than one orchestral product in your set up.
Thanks again Gary for your friendly support of these concepts. Perhaps we'll get an opportunity to do a seminar together. I am going to be traveling like a madman in the next few months demonstrating Philharmonik all over the world.
By the way, everybody I will be in Italy, Munich Germany, France, Switzerland and the UK next month. I will give more details but I will be in some store events if you are local to those areas. Come by and visit. I'd love to meet you.

The crossgrade from GPO is really such a boon for GPO users that they would be insane (or completely broke
)not to buy it. It's like adding a fully equipped powershop to your nice woodworking bench.
Really.
Yeah, all you guys have to stop making such great orchestral libraries!

Yeah, it's a good deal and it makes a lot of sense for GPO users because they gain a lot of complimentary sounds to complete the picture... which is never fully complete because there are so many good orchestral flavors to have!

Nice to see this kind of cooperation between "competing" companies... and indeed, one can never have too many orchestral samples! I have GPO and love it, but unfortunately I'm piss poor so I can't take advantage of this crossgrade offer.

We have a good attitude about it. There's no point in pretending that it's got to be this vs. that. Each person's tastes, needs, budget etc are different. Most people, if they can manage to afford it (perhaps over time) can really make use of having more than one source for orchestral sounds because their character, quality and features can vary so much. It just so happens that GPO users would really have something great to compliment their set up with Philharmonik, especially because of the difference in the way it deals with ensembles... but also because of the different sound it has. The same could be said the other way around. It's also true with other companies products as well but it all depends on your budget. The good thing about GPO and Philharmonik is that you can get both for less than the price of some other popular orchestral products out there.
