Cheap shot, but I'm tired of synth threads constantly turning into self-advertising.

she rocks...good for her...shouldn't these things be a way to get around the usual stuff in the record business world ie "word of mouth"?

KVR: come for the music, stay for the polemics and grammar lessons...

Maybe in the forums of some of the software I use -- SONAR, Live, Reason -- or maybe over at the Amazing Randi's forums. Or at a virtual Irish bar where I've shared some good times.

HELL YEAH!!! ME TOO!!!

While I've never have a problem with her and I still enjoy her music and personal perspectives on assorted matters, she has been "overexposed" lately...

Yep, she rocks. But not 'good for her', if you've been following the threads... Pro-53, that new Mac-only synth, Alizee, more if you're interested. They all have this thing in common, they turned into discussions about her career.

I settled my differences with her in one of those threads, and like I said, she rocks... but still, this particular piece of behavior is exactly the same as say any commercial developer turning any thread into an advertisement of his/her product... and almost as annoying as the guerilla marketing tactics performed by some developers, using several out-of-the-blue nicks "stumbling upon" their products and finding them to be the best thing since sliced bread.

Then again... without these soap operas, where would we go if KVR suddenly disappeared :D

"if KVR suddenly disappeared..." "... I'd be making more music" - 110% agreed.

Hink. As you even contributed to here,(and me now, doesnt mind tho), every fukken thread ends up about as far away from the topic as possible. It begins mostly by irrelevant comments, thought to be funny, and builds from there. Either to "promote" their/your own ego, music, status, or whatnot.
You even come of as a jealous asshat, and as it even seems from you comments here, thrive on "fighting" someone successful.

KVR goes, more music, less warez.
History is full of two kinds of people.
