If they did a SampleTank based sound module like ST2 with, let's say 1500 to 2000 sounds - and every single sound would have a comparable quality to Philharmonik. Meaning that all the natural instruments would sound as authentic and/or good plus the unnatural instruments would have a veeeery cool sound, too.

You mean like Sonik Synth 2?

Is this another riddle?? Could be Omnisoundz too.

LOL, no that's not what I mean. SS2 is great stuff. But the strings are not as strong as a high quality dedicated orchestra library - I am assuming that Philharmonik has got better strings, because it is dedicated to that purpose.
Omnisoundz 2 seems to go into that direction, but Omnisoundz is focused on GM sounds, I'm talking about a bigger baby.

For guitar, bass, piano, organ, horns and drums you've got Studiophonik coming. For synths you've got Sonik Synth 2. For orchestral strings, winds, brass, choir and other classical sounds you've got Philharmonik. That's what these focused products are all about. You didn't think we were done did you? ;)

What about Kazoo and dijeridoo? I really need decent Chest Slap as well (sample I mean...) that will work with STRETCH..

Come on, Dave, stop slacking!

I think Wizoo is doing the "Wizoo Kazoo" VSTi. Also the Dijeriwizoo. So, too late for us. Chest Slap however is still available though. :D

That's what she said. Woops. Sorry, I just like to make people laugh. I hope some do.

Now you just need a focused ethnic product and you'll have it all covered! ;)

My thoughts exactly. Something to rival EastWest's RA but with a more modest price tag - and of course the usual ST2 XL owner's discount. :D

KEYBOARD mag just reviewed RA and the writer actually made a comparison between it and the Proteus X "Planet Earth" expander which goes for like..$49.00?

Is he kidding? Or are the Proteus X sounds a steal at $49? I don't use these kinds of sounds often but I'll get the Planet Earth for 50 bucks if it's even in the same universe as something like RA. :D

Anyway...

I'd like to see a serious 'world' version of SS2 or Miro if it's at that level of quality and programming :)

If you like Ethnic libraries it may pay to keep Back In Time Records in mind. They are hoping to launch Ethnotronics VST in the very near future.

I believe even IK and/or SR have utilised recordings from this company in the past - actually maybe Squids can qualify that statement as I'm not 100% certain I've got it right.

Anyway - the product will have two flavours and will either come with the WusikEngine or with the Halion playback engine depending on what focus you want. Pretty interesting idea really - I may even think about buying both.

I hope it's not too rude posting this here, but I've been pretty impressed with BITR thus far and I thought I might get away with a bit of a plug for them as I believe Squids knows them quite well (hopefully in a friendly way).

I've been surrounding myself with some great sound content providers lately that cater for those of us who like quality but don't like paying a huge amount per soundset. People like SR and BITR will always get my consideration before some other companies because I'm finding the VFM vs Quality ratio quite palatable.

Who wrote that review? I am just curious. That is not the right thing to compare it to IMO. Why do reviewers do that? It makes you not want to send a product off to review. Man!
