I'm using Live to control video in Arkaos VJ. The video parameters are controlled by CC messages, and so far I've been drawing them in manually or playing them live.
What I'd like to do is find a plug-in that I could stick in a Live audio track that would map the envelope/volume/whatever to CC data to be sent to Arkaos via Live. Then the video effects would "beat" to the music, and could even be band separated to allow different effects for bass, mid, and treble.
I know this can all be cobbled togeter in Bidule, but that's more than I want to do.
Just a simple plug-in that converts volume to CC data would do the trick!

Hmmm...I don't know of one that converts to cc data, but Bluecat makes Peakmeter, which converts to VST automation data...which you might then be able to convert somehow to cc data inside a host?

if one used the aforementioned peakmeter to convert to vst automation perhaps moduLR's 'CC-Rider' http://subminimal.org/tools.php (originally created as a plug in for use in tracktion) could be used to convert the automation data to CC data (as that's what it's intended use is)?
