When using energyXT as a VST in renoise ( 28th june beta) keyboard shortcuts do not seem to be working properly.
e.g. Try to hilight a comp and use Ctrl + arrows to move it about. This will not work. It was fine in previous versions.

Does 'Del' on it's own work properly (e.g., for deleting notes on the piano roll)?
Reason I ask is, some hosts (like FLStudio) simply won't allow certain key commands to be carried on to the VST wrapper.
I haven't installed Renoise in ages, so I might try this out.
(EDIT - woah... it works with FLStudio again. One of Jorgen's betas must've fixed it.)

Spoke too soon.
In FLStudio, you can't delete Clips using keys like 'Del' on the sequencer, or notes on expanded tracks, or notes on a MIDI clip that has been Docked.
However... if you open MIDI Clips into their own window, 'Del' starts working again.
I have a theory this is to do with the host, not eXT, which makes a fix unlikely.
It seems to be the main VST window (or anything Docked in the main VST window) that can't access key commands and shortcuts.
Anything that appears in it's own window accepts shortcuts. I've just noticed the sequencer comp accepts keyboard shortcuts when it's opened in a new window and not docked.

Actually just trying this out with the 1.3 final version it seems that the Ctrl + Del doesn`t work in the main window to delete VSTs either. Seems I learnt some extra shortcuts in the SA version at the time of this report

Seems like this may be a renoise issue after all as you`ve suggested.

Did I dream this, or does Renoise have a small checkbox in the bottom-right of the VST window that says something like "keyboard focus" or something? Just downloading the latest version now.
Hehe, totally forgot my Reg. details for Renoise, been that long. To be honest, I don't know why I stopped using Renoise, I did a ton of finished songs with it.

After testing with another VST within renoise (iblit), it seems that renoise will allow backspace through to function with it. In the XT main window this command still won`t work aswell as del.
XT bug still maybe?
It would be cool if this can be resolved. I have posted on the renoise forum also.

Ok just checked this by loading XTE inside XT sa. When a sequencer is opened inside XTE the shortcuts sometimes seem to have trouble working here also. Strangely it seems to work other times. I will try to see what effects this.

Right, on checking further:
- Load XT VST inside the standalone
- Dock to new page
- Insert sequencer inside XT VST
- Dock to new page and del and backspace shortcuts will not work in this sequencer.
- Undock and they will work again
- Redock and they will still work until you change docked pages and back again
- Shortcuts will now be disabled again
