Cubase and vst problem

I dont know what I have done but when I fire a vst up in cubase I can play the vst with my midi keyboard but when I put the notes or map them into the sequencer the notes will not play the rhythm even though the level indicator are working and responding to the pattern.

make sure you routed the midi channel's output to the VSTi in the track inspector (the track params to the left side of the screen).
