Hey!

I'm currently looking for surround impulse files, I've found a couple of free ones over at noisevault.com, but do you know if there are other places I can get some? Commercial options are fine too.

Another thing, can you extract a surround impulse from Voxengo Impulse Modeller? Is this a planned feature? thanx, Artur

You may already generate surround impulses with Impulse Modeler.

Cool Aleksey, that wasn't totally clear from the description on the website... I'm still looking for other existing surround impulses though, any links greatly appreciated. Thanx, Artur

I personally do not know of any surround impulses available. I usually combine stereo impulses in Pristine Space to get surround reverb.

How would surround impulses be done? I would think a stereo mike at a single position makes sense, but where would you place mikes for 5 or 7.1 surround? And doesn't that impose some odd limitations on placement of a listeners speakers as well?

Just curious, i have no idea how most of this stuff works.

Surround impulses are usually done in a pretty the same manner as stereo impules - you'll only need to have more mics and place them in a special 'surround' way.

Surround impulses will be available in INSP:IR Impulse Library. It will be released soon.
