I am looking for some good piano loops, commercial or free. Both MIDI and audio loops are of interest.

I need chords, expressions, and progressions.

Any ideas? I am unable to locate anything but sampled pianos, except one package (but haven't found any reviews for it):
Gorgeous piano

I'm a guitar player who can finger a few chords but I could really do with some good piano loops.

I already have pianos in SampleTank 2XL and Kontakt 2 so I don't need any more sampled pianos...

Have you got a particular project in mind or are you just collecting a whole heap to use at some later date?

Twiddly bits from Keyfax has some midi for piano.

I am actually working on a pop/rock project where I need some standard progressions played on e-piano, but I'm also thinking about future use, yes.

I'll check out the Keyfax stuff, thanks.

I bought an EW Prosample (Best services) CD sometime ago 'World Groves'. And it was chock full of great midi paino files in the EXS24 folder. I don't know if all Prosamples cds come with midi files (Mines did not say that it included MIDI files), but there are a few Paino disc from Prosamples.

Regarding MIDI files, there's TONS of them on the web, both classical and pop stuff.
Just get whatever tune you like the piano part of and rip it out. For me that'd be the best solution (better than using any audiofiles too).
You can find freely downloadable MIDI files for about any song existing, some of them even being pretty good. You could then use transposing or some sort of logical editor (or whatever your host has to offer) to suit it your projects key.

Thanks, Sascha. That's a good tip.
