I did an Akai .akp version of Cryogenic & The Dawning to go with the Akai version of Stratosphere I did earlier.

I will create WusikSND samplesets on request for these.

Its very easy to do this with the Wusik Samplemapper.
And they all works fine.

That's why I don't mind doing it that much for people who ask.

Go for it Caleb! I know it is easy, I even have the wave here still in their rar's, but I think many more will enjoy if you do this- you could even post a link in the Wusik forum.Caleb wrote:Very easy.jsl wrote:Its very easy to do this with the Wusik Samplemapper.

I mapped the Drum Kits a while Back in Wusik Format
The links are here:
http://www.manytone.com/xtras/DrumsCS1xWSnd.zip
And the 2nd EKit samples in WusikSnd are here:
http://www.manytone.com/xtras/DrumsCS1x2WSnd.zip
I was going to host the Pads converted too.
They are pretty huge though in 32 bit Wusik / Many format .
I'll see what i can do, but perhaps best to put them on audioshots maybe..

Isn't it a bit weird that Wusikstation actually saves files in 32bit format?
I mean, it doesn't make the samples sound any better, so I can't see much of a reason in that. The EXS and Kontakt are doing it differently, they're using 32bit internally as well (well, you can switch this on optionally), converting samples while loading, but they're kept in 16/24bit on your harddisk.
And of course they're not using embedded formats either, which makes sharing a LOT easier as I only have to save a smalll patchfile for each of them while the samples are used by both.
Btw, Krim, I'm gonna send you the last thingies this afternoon. Been a bit busy.

It's not so much that WusikStation saves in 32bit, but the WusikSND multi-sample format seems to be 32bit as a requirement.Sascha Franck wrote:Isn't it a bit weird that Wusikstation actually saves files in 32bit format?
WusikStation isn't capable of actually creating WusikSND samplesets itself, just playing back ones already created.
There's a separate utility you use to create the WusikSND samples.
And yes, I think it is weird. I didn't even realise it until I converted some of Krim's samples.
I don't know if this is accurate or not, but would it save on CPU at all having the samples already in 32bit? Sorry if that's an ignorant question, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

After getting the new OrionPlat6, those sounds are just nice to play with. Thanks again, Krim, had 2 weeks with playing soccer, just the best way to come back to music.

Yes, 32bit samples do save some CPU. That's why both the EXS and Kontakt convert other bit depths to 32bit. But (others than the Wusik format) they do it on the fly, so there's no need to actually save files in 32bit.Caleb wrote: I don't know if this is accurate or not, but would it save on CPU at all having the samples already in 32bit? I remember when they did this format (for EVE originally), WIlliam said it was to save CPU. The actual disk space is not important to me in these days of 80-120+ gig hard drives! I guess it also locks the material to engine, which is probably also good from a developer point of view (there are converters though).Sascha Franck wrote:Yes, 32bit samples do save some CPU.
